Evans 1903 "The Sea of Steps"

This photo, by Frederick H Evans, is from the Wells Cathedral. I will soon have more to say about this photo, but for now, I just want to post it online next to the Stieglitz photo! When I came across them in the text, the phrase "a perfect photo" came to mind. Intuitively, I felt that the phrase speaks for both of these two images Yet, how different they both are!!
